Abstract
A home movie that depicts a Florida day trip made by husband and wife, John Nash and Agnes Anderson Ott.
Description
The film begins as Agnes Anderson Ott searches a South Florida beach for seashells while also keeping an eye out for the incoming tides. The scene quickly shifts to a dock at a marina where two men donning coastguard hats pose with John and Agnes Ott for the camera, while John lightheartedly plays with the bill of his cap. Then, they board the nearby boat and embark on a day trip. As they cruise beside mangroves, the first mate begins to cast a dredging cage into the water, and empties the cage to display a variety of marine life including scallop shells, starfish, sea snails, sea urchins, hermit crabs and sand dollars. The film concludes at a beach fire pit where the first mate proceeds to boil the catch, and then extracts the inhabitants from their shells.
