Abstract
Begins with footage of For a New World (Para un Nuevo Mundo), a mural painted by John Pitman Weber and Oscar Martinez on the side of Holy Covenant United Methodist Church (925 West Diversey Parkway) in 1973. This is followed by footage of an unidentified mural featuring Mayan imagery. The last third of the reel is of Olga Nuñez on the Loyola University Medical Center campus.
This footage was shot for an unfinished documentary about the visual language of murals in Chicago's Hispanic communities.
