Loosely assembled footage primarily depicts the 1988 presidential campaigns in Iowa by Congressman Dick Gephardt, Reverend Jesse Jackson, Senator Paul Simon, Governor Bruce Babbitt, former Senator Gary Hart, and Vice President George H.W. Bush. Shots include the following: Babbitt tours Iowa on bicycle, Bush attends a Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. commemoration at King-Perkins Elementary School in Des Moines on January 18, 1988; Hart delivers a speech at the Osceola Aerie Fraternal Order of Eagles in Osceola and visits a shopping mall; Loreen Gephardt delivers a speech in support of her son’s campaign in Des Moines’ Nollen Plaza; Jackson visits Drake University, a farm, and other venues.
