Custodial History
These films were donated to CFA in 2023 by Marjorie Mikasen, who received them from her parents, who were friends of Louise Andryski's.

Louise was born February 29, 1912 in Richard City, Tennessee, and received a silver spoon from the "City" for being born on Leap Year Day. Her father (from Chicago) was on special assignment for his company, and her parents were living temporarily in the various areas of his work.
When Louise was 3 years old, her mother died in an influenza epidemic in Chicago. Her father, now in a traveling position for his company, asked her maternal grandmother to take care of her for him. When Louise was 13 she lost her father too. Both of her parents are buried in Chicago, which Louise calls her “hometown.”
Louise's grandparents legally adopted her, and changed her name from Johnson to their name, Gibbons. She was educated in the Chicago schools, and graduated from Fenger High School.
Louise continued in the field of accounting and held several positions with downtown firms in Chicago. Before early retirement in 1970, she was last employed by a large commercial printing organization -- Aetna -- which was composed of several corporations. Louise was in charge of all of their financial operations.
Louise was married to John P. Andryski, head of the Electromotive Division of General Motors in Chicago, and they lived in the Roseland area of Chicago until he had a heart attack and retired in 1970. They decided to move to Lehigh Acres in Florida, where Louise worked for the WAYK radio station. Her husband died in 1977, and Louise passed in 1992.
